Thoughts on the test

I had trouble with the piecewise function and most of my issues with it are because I don't really understand the purpose of their existence. The Difference Quotient Formula problem was also mystifying because I really don't get the point of it or how to use the formula. With the optimization problem, I didn't know the proper formulas, nor did I know how to solve it had I know the formulas to use. I knew that substitution had something to do with it but I wasn't sure how. To sum it all up, I did well on things that I knew why we use it, like the graphs of population growth etc.
