2-2

Real quick, I was doing some reading on my own and discovered this, which for some reason intrigues me to no end. Do we delve into these at all?
Anyway, let me see if I understand this correctly, because I'm not quite sure what we're dividing these functions to get. We are using long division to divide one function by another to see where its zeroes lie correct?

  1. Given that we are essentially factoring and a factor provides a zero of a function, yes, your answer is correct!
