In class we talked about the point of Discontinuity and about it being removable. I learned once you factor the circle on the line on the graph gets filled in and it becomes removable. Before you factor it is open and not removable.
I still don't really see what simplifying it does to change the actual graph. I understand it removes the possibility of a 0 term for the denominator. But it is just so upsetting that they should equal the same thing yet graph to different ways. has your class delved any further into this than ours?
An excellent "point" Tristan: Can you provide a good example of this type of behavior, different from the one or two we studied in class?
