Page 233 Homework

I don't know if I am doing the first four problems correctly. They give a y1 and y2 but I don't know how to divide them...  Same goes for the second section. My main/overral question or thought for this homework is that the division part confuses me.

  1. Remember Matt to set these up as long division problems. So, if y1 is being divided by y2, then the y2 belongs outside the divisor. Then, divide the leading term of y2 into the leading term of y1 for the first term in the solution. Compare this with the problems in your notes and try this step. Then update us on your progress.
