When you check the box agreeing that you have read the terms and conditions are you lying to the machine? Or what is lying? Is it possible to lie to a machine, why or why not? Please post but also taking into account that when you lie to a machine you are also lying to yourself. Even though a person will never now that you lied to a computer is it still considered lying?

ReplyDeleteHmm touche Brian! This comes up in the mock trial case im doing right now, and as I am a lawyer i prove the person lied to both themselves and the school because they check the box saying they read the terms and conditions! So at least in a court of law this is defiantly lying! I don't think its different than any other cases of lying, at least not on a basic principal level.
