Alright now see here, exponential and power functions are important, see? They're also pretty different, see?
Ok, so a power looks like this, x^r and an exponential looks like this: r^x where r stands for a constant and x stands for a variable, as it normally does. The former graph, the exponential one will differ in increasingly large values, much larger than those of the power function.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that the variable in an exponential function is an exponent and the exponent in a power function is a constant.
I was looking for a like button but i couldnt find one.

I agree with Julian. It's a simple way to explain something complicated.
