The Intermediate Value Theorem

The Intermediate Value Theorem
From my understanding, the Intermediate Value Theorem is a theorem that helps you find any zeroes in a polynomial function. I understood what we did in class to find the zeroes, but I am not quite sure what these graphs mean. On the second graph on page 220, I can see why the one point is considered to have a zero and why the other points are no considered zeroes. I hope we can work with this theorem more today in class.
